DVR.Webcam for Google Drive is a cloud-based digital video recorder (DVR) application that utilizes Google Drive for storage. This innovative app transforms your iOS device into an effective surveillance and monitoring system, capable of streaming live video from its camera. A notable advantage of this app over similar solutions is its lack of monthly fees for storing recordings, as it relies on the available space in your Google Drive account.

The application is versatile, supporting both the built-in cameras of your device and various IP cameras (compatible with MJPEG, JPEG, or H.264 formats) connected to your network. It automatically records live video from the selected camera, including audio when using the built-in cameras, and streams this content directly to your personal Google account. Users can specify the duration for which DVR recordings will be retained in the cloud, allowing the app to manage storage efficiently.

Remote access to DVR recordings is straightforward; users can easily view their footage stored on Google Drive using any web browser across different devices. For instance, one can utilize an iOS device as a DVR recorder at home while accessing the recorded content from another iOS device or computer when away from the location.
